ITV Update: Shifting Gears

Now that most classes have covered many of the basic production skills needed to produce a dynamic daily news show, we're shifting our focus to the writing and research that needs to go into such a production.  In previous years, our student staff was overflowing with extremely creative students, but a bit short on students with technical aptitude.  I'm extremely excited that this year's mix of students has displayed extreme aptitude regarding Final Cut Pro, Motion, and other software programs we've covered.  This affords our program the opportunity to make a substantial leap forward in quality by focusing on the writing and research side of daily news production.

What does this mean for you?
Students: Expect more paper/pencil assignments dealing with various writing topics (yes, this will feel like "regular" school work).
Parents: Expect to see more homework from our class, as this is work students CAN do from home.  Up until this point, we've been dealing with specialized software programs which very few, if any, students have access to at home.
e-MAS viewers: Expect to see a drastic increase in the quality of the news show.
