Greetings! I'm proud to announce that the ITV department of CLMS and academies will be selling its first ever, student e-MAS t-shirt. The design was completed by a current student. Production should begin this week with pre-orders going on next week. Delivery should be the week after that. Below is the original student sketch. The design will be white art on a black t-shirt.

ITV Update: Shifting Gears
Now that most classes have covered many of the basic production skills needed to produce a dynamic daily news show, we're shifting our focus to the writing and research that needs to go into such a production. In previous years, our student staff was overflowing with extremely creative students, but a bit short on students with technical aptitude. I'm extremely excited that this year's mix of students has displayed extreme aptitude regarding Final Cut Pro, Motion, and other software programs we've covered. This affords our program the opportunity to make a substantial leap forward in quality by focusing on the writing and research side of daily news production.
What does this mean for you?
Students: Expect more paper/pencil assignments dealing with various writing topics (yes, this will feel like "regular" school work).
Parents: Expect to see more homework from our class, as this is work students CAN do from home. Up until this point, we've been dealing with specialized software programs which very few, if any, students have access to at home.
e-MAS viewers: Expect to see a drastic increase in the quality of the news show.

COOKIE DOUGH DELIVERY!
First of all, I would like to thank everyone who participated in the cookie dough fundraiser. It looks like our profits will be approximately $1400 dollars. This will go a long way towards equipment and prop purchases.
The cookie dough will be delivered on WEDNESDAY DECEMBER 7 near noon. This is an early release day so please plan accordingly. The product can remain in an air conditioned room for up to 6 hours so that should be plenty of time to get it home.
I'll also be sending a note home with students.

File Sharing Computer Based Assignments
Students have also had trouble file sharing finished projects to Nautilus (the iMac used for demonstration/grading). This is the process by which students can send files from one iMac to another without use if an external website or removable storage device (such as a flash drive). This is a critical skill for any student wishing to enjoy any manner of success in ITV.
I've taken the liberty of providing another quick example of the process.
